About Envision

MEET LORI MARTIN, CLTC

I am Principal of Envision Benefit Specialists, LLC,  focusing on insurance plans and healthcare planning in retirement for individuals and employer groups.  I’ve been in the benefit consulting arena for over 25 years with experience in employer insurance plans, Medicare, and long-term care planning.  My focus has expanded to providing educational seminars for advisors, associations, and civic groups on the value of LTC insurance.  I am active in several Senior Service Associations in the Chicagoland area and conducts CE classes for healthcare professionals. 

A self-described Insurance Geek, I enjoy educating individuals and employer groups on the importance of planning for future caregiving needs.  Like others in the LTC field, I have been a caregiving and a care manager for both parents and understands how a LTC insurance plan helps mitigate the consequences of an extended healthcare event.

On the weekends, I enjoy chasing wildlife out of the garden, the discovery of new craft beers and quilting (not necessarily in that order).

LEGISLATIVE EFFORTS

I am involved in the National Association of Benefit and Insurance Professionals (NABIP), an organization serving over 100,000 benefit specialists.  Members advocate for sound public policy solution for our clients.   As the chair of the NABIP LTC Working Group, we engage members about LTC insurance solutions for their clients and provide timely information on the LTCI industry including state and federal legislation. I serve on the Legislative Council for NABIP promoting national and state legislative funding initiatives.
